My Story

Hi, I'm Tom Decker. Let me take you on a journey through my life, one that's been defined by entrepreneurship, sales, and a passion for helping others. Born in 1969, my venture into the world of business began at the age of 10. It was a simple act of buying and reselling watermelons with my twin brother Tim that ignited my lifelong love for sales. We turned a $20 investment into $120, and from that moment, I knew selling was my calling.

Throughout my youth, Tim and I embarked on various sales endeavors, like selling Christmas ornaments door-to-door. These early experiences laid the foundation for my future in business. Later, I joined my parents in the windshield installation business, and we even secured a concession at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, a venture that proved to be incredibly lucrative.

Over the years, I've been involved in over 20 businesses, ranging from screen printing, automotive HVAC, and windshield installation, to owning two pool halls, an insulation company, a pool fencing company, and even two inflatable bounce house party centers. While not all were wildly successful, each venture taught me invaluable lessons and shaped my approach to business.

In 1994, I married Dani, and we’ve been partners in life and business for nearly 30 years. Together, we have a son, numerous dogs, and a life filled with adventures in Texas. My motto in life is "always be helping." I believe in creating win-win situations in every interaction. This philosophy has been the cornerstone of my success and the guiding principle in all my ventures.

In 2023, I authored my first book, "When Can You Do It", encapsulating my years of experience in sales, particularly in the home services industry. This book is a comprehensive guide to understanding customer needs, overcoming objections, and crafting a successful sales process.

Today, I'm at the helm of three thriving businesses: The Attic Depot, a wholesale energy efficiency company; W360, a contractor training platform; and the upcoming venture, The Cookie Box, a unique cookie subscription service for contractors. I run these businesses alongside Dani and Tim, continually looking for new opportunities to expand and help others in their entrepreneurial journeys.

My story is one of constant evolution, learning, and a deep-seated desire to contribute positively to those I work with. As I continue with The Attic Depot, W360, and The Cookie Box, I'm excited about the future, ready to explore new ventures, and committed to helping others achieve their business goals.
